I got this email today from one of our clients at work:

> Hi again! The attached is an enrollment for seventh grade. The
> enrollment fee is not showing up here either, and the technology fee is
> coming up as $35 per course. In reality, the technology fee for online
> courses at the elementary level should be $2 per course per semester
> (see the enrollment packet).

In reality?
In reality, I don't give a crap about your company.
In reality, if you knew what you were talking about, you wouldn't be in this mess to begin with.
In reality, I fix your website. If you want it fixed promptly, you don't want to talk to me like that.

If only elementary school courses could be used to build a college degree. $2 a course is a hell of a lot cheaper than the hundred something I paid for some online courses at the college I attended. Even though my position at work is not clearly defined I have become the unofficial programmer, and security analyst. The company paid some developer $4,000 to build a massive back-end to one of their e-commerce websites, and after less than a week working there I was able to find at least 5 bugs, 1 critical vulnerability, and a number of changes that could be made to better enforce the security policy. Of course now I believe the web developer probably hates me as not only did I find each issue, but I also completely debugged them, and then made suggestions as to exactly which lines of code needed to be fixed, and why. By the way Grave Mistake needs to starting tour right now.
